Education
The accessible dolphin population in the Shannon provides excellent opportunities for education and interpretation. The Foundation will develop educational resources to enhance school visits, facilitate third level institutes and provide assistance to teachers and parents in environmental education.

The SDWF have recently developed a range of interpretive and educational resources in the newly opended Shannon Dolphin and Wildlife Centre. With funding from the LEADER National Rural Development Programme, the Centre offers a wide range of interest and activities for children and adults alike. Open daily from June to September, other times by appointment.
